由于目前物价部门对于留学中介收费仍然没有一个统一的收费标准，而市场调解中存在的商业操作的影响，各个机构收取的留学中介费用存在较大的差异，而即便是同一个机构，针对不同申请国家甚至不同难度和不同项目的服务，也采取了不同的收费方式。学生在与留学中介签订合同之前，一定要谨慎了解收费标准及其提供的服务包含项，并且问清楚后续所需缴纳的各个费用，谨防被骗。
