Previous professional social work experience and achievement, as indicated through a detailed resume.

Personal Statement:
Rationale for pursuing doctoral education, as indicated through a study plan outlining reasons for pursuing social work doctoral education at the University of Calgary, educational goals and career expectations, and the research problem to be investigated through the doctoral thesis.

Recommendation Letter:
Recommendations from post-secondary and professional references, as indicated through three letters of reference (at least one from an academic source).

Writing Sample:
Potential for success in advanced scholarship, as indicated through samples of written work including published and / or unpublished scholarly papers and/or professional reports.
